HP OfficeJet 3831
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

The paper feeding mechanism is broken and noisy. The papers are not drawn by it and it keeps clicking with a strange sound of ''tick tick"

I cannot contact the warranty while the printer is just 4 months old!

Frustrated!

To fix the paper jam issue, please try the steps below:

Step 1: Look for jammed paper

  • Clear jammed paper from the input tray
  • Clear jammed paper from the output tray
  • Clear jammed paper from the ink cartridge access area
  • Clear jammed paper from underneath the printer
  • Clear jammed paper from the ADF

Step 2: Make sure the ink cartridge carriage moves freely

Step 3: Use an automated tool to clean ink smears

Step 4: Manually clean the paper rollers inside the ink cartridge access area

Step 6: Reset the printer

Hi

Thanks for your reply.

I do not know why I cannot contact the support? The feeding mechanism is broken after only 3 months of buying the product and no need to beat around the bushes and ask me to do the silly troubleshooting which I didany times. Why I cannot send a maintenance request from the HP portal?  Intuitively, I expect to click a maintenance request without asking me to call you by phone. This is an outdated practice!!!!

Please fix or replace this product!!! It is a quality issue, sir!!!!

I am now stuck and need to print my work papers!! I don't know how can a printer be broken after three months?? Is it made of cardboard???
