I cannot get the ink carriage to move more than about a half inch. It is stuck on the far right side of the printer. I have browsed the forums and done every troubleshooting step, so HP please don't suggest I turn it off and blah, blah, blah. There are NO paper jams, even though that's the error I receive. I can find nothing that would prevent the carriage from moving, but something is. I've had the printer over a year and I know it's out of warranty. but I've printed no more than 100 pages and frankly if this is HP quality it will be the last HP printer I buy. I'm kind of tired of these things being treated as disposable items. If there's actual troubleshooting steps I can take other than your scripted "**bleep**" then by all means provide them.

So I took the printer apart and figured out what is stopping the carriage from moving. The tray underneath it is moving forward and back but then stops under the carriage too high and "locks"  the carriage. I can move the gears to lower it which frees the carriage but as soon as it resets it sticks again. Anything I can do to adjust this? I've included a pic of the tray (head cleaner?) I'm talking about. Thanks.
