Hi @Mayralizeth_82,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Based on what I see, your HP printer is not printing in color, and the HP app says there's no color ink, even though it's installed. Let’s walk through the most likely causes and how to fix them.

1. Check Print Settings

From your screenshots:

  • “Print in Grayscale” is set to Off, which is correct.
  • Make sure you're not using a print shortcut like “Black and White” or “Draft” that overrides color settings.

2. Verify Ink Levels

  • Open the HP Smart App.
  • Go to Printer Status > Ink Levels.
  • If color ink shows as empty or missing, try reseating the cartridges:
    • Open the ink access door.
    • Remove and reinsert the color cartridges.
    • Make sure the ink tank levels are above the minimum line.

3. Run Printhead Cleaning

Sometimes, color ink doesn’t flow due to clogged nozzles:

  • In the HP Smart App, go to Tools > Print Quality Tools.
  • Run Printhead Cleaning and Alignment.
  • Repeat cleaning if needed.

4. Update Printer Firmware

Outdated firmware can cause ink detection issues: 🔗 Official HP® Support

  • Download and install the latest firmware.
  • Restart the printer after updating.

5. Reset the Printer

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug it from the wall for 60 seconds.
  • Plug it back in and power it on.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
