HP OfficeJet Pro 8715 All-in-One Printer

I have had this printer (HP OfficeJet Pro 8715 All-in-One Printer) since March 2017. I love the printer, today when I tried printing something I got an error "The printhead appears to be missing not detected or incorrectly installed". I have tried troubleshooting steps that have been mentioned here  also I reset the printer and it didnt make any difference . It feels like my only option is to get a new printer or spend money getting the printer serviced and/or buy a new printhead part with no guarantee that this will fix the problem. I don't print very frequently so I wasn't expecting a fairly expensive home printer to last me a little over two years. Not sure if there is any other troubleshooting I can do or if there are alternatives available to me.

If you have tried all the troubleshooting steps from this document HP OfficeJet 8700 Printers - 'Printhead Problem' Error, I am afraid it could be a hardware failure and the device needs to be serviced.

Unfortunately, there are no additional troubleshooting steps available. You can our other support options for further assistance. Follow the steps below:

 

1) Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp
2) Select your product type below.
3) Enter the serial of your device. 
4) Select the country from the drop-down. 
5) Select the appropriate option based on your preference. 
6) Fill the web-form and proceed further.
