I have tried all HP's suggestions for fixing this error--including installing new firmware, repeatedly either taking out or jiggling around the printhead, and unplugging and replugging the power cord from behind the printer and the wall socket.  I still get the error message and the printer will not print.  I had done nothing different to cause this error to appear so I am baffled as to why it started out of nowhere.  Is there anything I can do to fix this problem other than buying a new printhead or printer?

Thank you.

Nope, new printhead or new printer whatever is cheaper for you.

Thank you for your response.

It's pretty disappointing that the printer only lasted 5 years and I never used it all that much.  I can only hope it doesn't wind up in a landfill.  Plus I took a hit with all the unused ink.

The Epson printer I had before this HP lasted for 10 years.

But thanks anyway.
