Microsoft Windows 11

There is a severe delay in my printing for 3 days.  I have: unplugged and rebooted several times.  I uninstalled and reinstalled printer.  Disconnected for internet and reconnected.  My printer is the default - what else can I do?

Hi @DJ1203,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand you have severe printing delays on your OfficeJet Pro 9015e All-in-One Printer running Windows 11. Sorry to hear about the trouble. Let's try a few steps to try and resolve the issue.

1️. Check Printer Connection Type

  • If you're connected via Wi-Fi:
    • Make sure your printer and PC are both on the same 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network (this printer doesn't support 5 GHz).
    • Place your printer closer to the router — avoid walls or interference.
  • If you’re using USB, try switching to a different port or cable.

2️. Clear the Print Queue

Even if you restarted, stuck jobs can cause a slowdown:

  • Open Settings → Bluetooth & devices → Printers & scanners
  • Click on your Officejet Pro 9015e
  • Click Open print queue
  • If there are pending or stuck jobs, cancel them all
  • Restart your PC and printer

3️. Restart the Print Spooler Service

This controls how print jobs are processed:

  • Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter
  • Find Print Spooler
  • Right-click it → Stop
  • Go to C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS
    (You might need admin permission)
  • Delete all files inside
  • Go back to Services, right-click Print Spooler, and Start

Then, test printing again.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
