HP Neverstop Laser MFP 1202w
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

There is no power getting to my printer. I've tried replacing the power cord but still no indicator lights or screens. It's like the power source on the inside of the unit might be malfunctioning. Is that a part I can replace? Perhaps a power adapter inside the unit?

@zachdadams, Welcome to the HP Support Community – it’s great to have you here!

I appreciate you taking the time to share your question. I'm more than happy to assist with this and provide a solution that works for you.

I understand you're experiencing a power issue with your HP Neverstop Laser MFP 1202w, where the printer shows no signs of power even after replacing the power cord. Let's walk through some steps to help diagnose and potentially resolve this issue.

Check the Power Source

  • Ensure the wall outlet is working by plugging in another device (like a lamp or phone charger).
  • Avoid using surge protectors or power strips plug the printer directly into a wall outlet.

Inspect the Power Cord

  • You mentioned replacing the power cord ensure it's the correct HP-certified power cord for your model.
  • Check for any visible damage or loose connections at both ends.

Reset the Printer

  • Disconnect the power cord from both the printer and the wall outlet.
  • Wait for 60 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cord directly to the wall outlet and then to the printer.
  • Press the Power button and check for any response (lights, display, or sound).

Check for Internal Power Supply Issues

If there’s still no power:

  • The issue may lie with the internal power supply unit (PSU) or mainboard.
  • Unfortunately, these components are not user-replaceable and require professional servicing.
In that case, we suggest you please visit the nearest HP authorized service center, the service team will check and assist you.

Kindly follow this link to locate the nearest HP service center: HP® Service Center Locator - United States | HP® Support
