Hi @Jsmalaga,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems like you are experiencing connectivity issues with HP Web Services on your HP ENVY 4500 printer. Let's try a few steps to troubleshoot and resolve the problem.
Check Internet Connection:
- Make sure that your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.
- Verify that your internet connection is stable.
Printer Firmware Update:
- Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware. You can usually check for firmware updates through the printer's control panel or the HP Smart app.
Restart the Printer:
- Turn off the printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on. This can help refresh the printer's connection to the network.
Restart the Router:
- Restart your Wi-Fi router to ensure a stable internet connection.
Check Web Services Status:
- On your printer's control panel, navigate to "Settings" > "Web Services" and check if Web Services are enabled. If not, enable them and see if the issue persists.
HP Smart App:
- Open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device and check if it recognizes your printer. The app might offer troubleshooting options or prompt you to fix connectivity issues.
Update HP Smart App:
- Make sure you have the latest version of the HP Smart app installed on your computer or mobile device.
Firewall/Antivirus Settings:
- Check if any firewall or antivirus software on your computer is blocking the communication between your printer and the HP servers. Temporarily disable them to see if it resolves the issue.
Reset Web Services on Printer:
- On the printer's control panel, go to "Settings" > "Web Services" > "Remove Web Services." After removing, restart the printer and re-enable Web Services.
Factory Reset:
- As a last resort, you can perform a factory reset on the printer, but be aware that this will reset all settings. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to do a factory reset.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
