Connection to the Embedded Web Server (EWS)?

This is common - browsers are fussy about security - a connection to a private network that cannot be verified using the tools available to the browser security does tend to generate errors.  The severity of the error / message varies by browser.

Some browsers cannot be made compliant (accept the connection), others require changes to the configuration, others just generate a warning and let you add the "excretion".

You might be able to "get around" the error by switching the address to start with "https" as opposed to "http".

Chrome might include the Network section where you can change settings.

Firefox - nice browser that seems to want to update every few days - can be accepting of "exceptions" until one day it suddenly fails to do anything and completely blocks the connection.  Fortunately, in this case, rebuilding the "Cert9" database usually fixes that nonsense.

What to do?

Depending on your browser, search on the Internet for the fix that matches your situation.

If the error is showing up when trying to connect the printer to your network, check the protocol you are using.  For example, the security and encryption used on the printer must match the security available on the router.  Common wireless settings include WPA2 authentication and AES or TKIP encryption, for example.

Bandwidth must be supported and match the SSID / network on the router to which you are trying to connect the printer.
