Experienced paper jamming on HP P3005 LaserJet. Installed a new Roller Kit -Transfer Roller,, D-shaped pickup roller, cassette paper pickup roller, separation pad assembly, and separation pad holder assembly. Now prints without jamming. However, now when I turn the printer on, printer from either tray, the paper guide part of Tray 1 (multipurpose tray) flaps for maybe 10 to 15 seconds and then stops - making a very noticeable flapping sound. Did not do this before installing the roller kit. Took out and reinstalled roller kit - securely. Same problem. Any suggested solutions? Here is a link to a video showing the problem. Thanks for any pointers. Driving me nuts!

Make sure that the flag on tray 1 is not stuck. It is to the left of the tray 1 pickup roller. Also make sure that the flag under the registration assembly is not jammed.

VERY much appreciate the help. Looked at the flags as suggested. Also took the side door off, which was a job in itself. Someone suggested that a spring might have come off the "L" arm of the solenoid. Didn't see a problem. Looking everywhere. Getting to know my printer intimately, but still no solution to the flapping Tray 1. Flapping stops about 10 seconds after turning the printer on or after printing a page. I know everyone is busy, but if there are any other ideas for solving this problem please let me know. I will share what works with others in the forum.

Do you get any error codes in the logs?

Tried everything as suggested. Finally got everything back together. Same problem. Please see link in initial post for complete description and video of the problem. Whether turning the printer on, printing from either tray, the paper guide in the Tray 1 Multipurpose tray "flaps" or "lifts" up and down for about 10 seconds and then stops. No paper jams after installing a new roller kit. Prints fine from either tray. No error messages. Even shook the printer to see if I heard and springs or anything bouncing around. None. Quiet. Read somewhere that someone simply replaced their toner cartridge and the flapping stopped. I took the cartridge out and then turned on the printer. Same flapping even without the toner cartridge. I love this printer. Had it for years with no problems. Still prints beautifully. Just this one nagging issue. Don't want to spend $150 on a new toner cartridge just to see if this is the problem. Following is a link to a new close-up short video showing where the problem is - at least where the final result of the problem is. Any more ideas to try? Would hate to discard this printer. Thanks very much.
