I am getting this message constantly "Tray 2 is open..." It isnt! checked printer remove trays, fill them, replace them, still same message. Unable to print anything as the message keeps appearing.

I understand that you are getting tray 2 is open error message, I am glad to assist you.

Restart the printer

Turning the printer off and then on again can reset the printer and clear the message from the control panel.

  1. Press the Power button to turn off the printer. If the printer does not turn off, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.

  2. Wait 60 seconds.

  3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.

  4. Press the Power button to turn on the printer.

Update the printer firmware to install the latest updates
