Hi @KT4080

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I understand how frustrating it is when your HP ENVY Photo 7855 gets stuck on the boot screen. Let's go through some HP-specific troubleshooting steps to resolve this issue.

Step-by-Step Troubleshooting for HP ENVY Photo 7855 Stuck on Boot Screen

1. Perform a Power Reset

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Disconnect all cables (USB, Ethernet, etc.).
  • Wait 2-3 minutes to allow residual power to drain.
  • Press and hold the Power button for 15 seconds (while unplugged).
  • Plug the power cord directly into a wall outlet (avoid power strips/surge protectors).
  • Turn the printer back on and check if it boots past the loading screen.

2. Try a Semi-Full Reset

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it.
  • Press and hold the Back (↩️) and Cancel () buttons.
  • While holding both buttons, plug the power cord back in.
  • Continue holding the buttons until the printer turns on and displays the reset menu.
  • Select Reset or Semi-Full Reset from the menu.

3. Enter Recovery Mode

  • Unplug the printer from power.
  • Press and hold the Power button and Wi-Fi button (or Wi-Fi + Cancel on some models).
  • While holding the buttons, plug the power cable back in.
  • Release the buttons when the HP logo appears, and the printer may enter Recovery Mode.
  • Follow any on-screen prompts to attempt a recovery.

Let me know if you need further clarification! I know how frustrating printer errors can be, but hopefully, this gets your HP ENVY Photo 7855 back up and running. 😊
