Hi @Beebz1998, Welcome to HP Support Community. 👋
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Ah, the dreaded blinking yellow light—like a tiny, judgmental lighthouse telling you something is wrong but refusing to spill the details. No worries, though! We’re about to crack this mystery together, Sherlock-style. 🕵️♂️🔍
Step 1: Identify the Error
- Check HP Smart App
- Open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
- It may provide a detailed error message or suggested fix.
- Check the Printer’s Control Panel or Display
- If your printer has a screen or LED indicators, check for any specific error messages.
Step 2: Check for Common Issues
1. Paper Issues
- Ensure there is paper in the tray.
- Remove and reload the paper properly.
- Check for paper jams in the input and output trays.
2. Ink Cartridge Issues
- Open the cartridge access door and check if the cartridges are installed correctly.
- If they are old or dried out, try replacing them with new cartridges.
- Clean the ink contacts using a lint-free cloth and ensure there is no ink leakage.
3. Connectivity Issues
- If you are using Wi-Fi, try restarting the router and reconnecting the printer.
- If the printer is offline, remove and re-add the printer from your PC/Mac.
- If using USB, try a different port or cable.
4. Reset the Printer
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from power for 5 minutes.
- Plug it back in and turn it on.
Step 3: Update Firmware and Drivers
- Visit HP Support and download the latest firmware and drivers for your printer model.
Step 4: Perform a Hard Reset
- Turn off the printer and unplug it.
- Press and hold the Power button for 10 seconds.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
I hope this helps and solves the mystery!! 🔍
Take care and have a good day. 😇
