Hi @Beebz1998, Welcome to HP Support Community. 👋

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Ah, the dreaded blinking yellow light—like a tiny, judgmental lighthouse telling you something is wrong but refusing to spill the details. No worries, though! We’re about to crack this mystery together, Sherlock-style. 🕵️‍♂️🔍

Step 1: Identify the Error

  1. Check HP Smart App
    • Open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
    • It may provide a detailed error message or suggested fix.
  2. Check the Printer’s Control Panel or Display
    • If your printer has a screen or LED indicators, check for any specific error messages.

Step 2: Check for Common Issues

1. Paper Issues

  • Ensure there is paper in the tray.
  • Remove and reload the paper properly.
  • Check for paper jams in the input and output trays.

2. Ink Cartridge Issues

  • Open the cartridge access door and check if the cartridges are installed correctly.
  • If they are old or dried out, try replacing them with new cartridges.
  • Clean the ink contacts using a lint-free cloth and ensure there is no ink leakage.

3. Connectivity Issues

  • If you are using Wi-Fi, try restarting the router and reconnecting the printer.
  • If the printer is offline, remove and re-add the printer from your PC/Mac.
  • If using USB, try a different port or cable.

4. Reset the Printer

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from power for 5 minutes.
  • Plug it back in and turn it on.

Step 3: Update Firmware and Drivers

  • Visit HP Support and download the latest firmware and drivers for your printer model.

Step 4: Perform a Hard Reset

  1. Turn off the printer and unplug it.
  2. Press and hold the Power button for 10 seconds.
  3. Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

I hope this helps and solves the mystery!! 🔍

Take care and have a good day. 😇
