I've just installed my printer HP OfficeJet Pro 6978 and when attempting to print from apps like quickbooks and google chrome/gmail, it is asking me for fax information for the cover sheet?  I cannot find any setting to change/fix this?  Test pages and all setup pages printed fine and was able to print from excel.  Help?

For Chrome, you likely need to change the default printer device to be the printer (and not the fax).

Chrome Browser:

Open web page to be printed

Chrome Settings > Print > Under Destination > Change > Select your Printer as the Default

Change / Check the Default printer on Windows

Control Panel > icon view > Devices and Printers >

Right-Click on your printer > Set as Default

Check / change printer in most applications / software

Make sure the printer you want is selected in Printer box

Reference and Resources – Places to find help, solve problems, and learn how to use your Printer

Clarification of terms and "what the printer can do" (Specifications)

Printer Homepage – “Things that are your printer”

NOTE:  Content depends on device type and Operating System
