That worked.  I printed a single page document, with the option for 5 copies.  A single white piece of paper was placed at the top of the paper tray, with 4 letterhead pages below it in the paper tray.  The printer printed the same document on all 5 pieces of paper.   Does this give you any ideas about why the printer gives an error message when the letterhead page is the first to be pulled out of the paper tray?

@fcresgray

Thanks for responding,

It should give an error message,

Looks like you were interacting with @The_Fossette, but he is out for the day & I'll be glad to help you out,

I'm the Flower_Bud & I'm at your service.

I would suggest you make a photocopy of Letterhead pages. If it copies fine, then uninstall and reinstall the driver:

  • Go to Control panel – Programs and feature – Select all the HP DeskJet printer entries and uninstall them.
  • Now go to Control panel – Devices and printer – Select all the printer entries and remove the device.
  • Then press the "windows key" + "r" to get the "Run" window open - Type "printui.exe /s" and press enter.
  • Under print server properties, go to drivers - remove any entry there as well.
  • Again, go
  • window, type – “c:/programdata” – Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files. to run

Reinstall using Windows built-in drivers: Click here

Let me know how this goes,

Cheers 🙂

Copying the letterhead paper, pulled in from the auto loader on top of the printer works as it should. I’ll reinstall the Driver’s per your instructions.

Removing all drivers and reinstalling didn’t work. I’m here with printer now. Want to call me to discuss next steps? Still getting paper size mismatch error.

To test it, I loaded my letterhead upside down so that my document prints on the back, all white side, of my letterhead paper. It prints fine. So the problem isn’t about paper size. It has to be about the ink printed on my letterhead side of the paper.

Would you like me to send you a copy of my letterhead paper so you can test it on another printer to see if you get the same results? As a work around, I’ll try to figure out how to get MSWord to print the bottom of my document first, so I can load my letterhead bottom (all white paper) first and get back to work. This is frustrating.

@fcresgray

Thank you for responding,

It's great to have you back 😉

I would suggest you change the margin size from the software you're printing from.
