Trying to reinstall Printer HP ENvy 4524 onto a Windows 10 laptop but says driver unavailable

Once I've reinstalled the printer it says that the driver is unavailable so doesn't work when it used to.

This is a great location to get assistance! I read your post and see that you are getting driver not available error while installing HP Envy 4524 printer. I would like to help you resolve this issue.

Install the printer with Windows built-in driver.

Set Windows Update to automatically download driver software.

1. Search Windows for change device installation, and then click the Change device installation settings Control Panel setting in the list of results.

   Device Installation Settings window displays.

2. Select the Yes option, and then click Save Changes.

Connect your printer to the computer.

Install the print driver with the Add a Printer wizard.

Click here and refer the document to perform the above steps.

I have tried that but the setting was already on automatic update. I have tried to install the printer again by add a printer but one loaded I still get driver is unavailable message.

I appreciate your  time and effort.

Install and run the HP Support Assistant software to update the drivers automatically.

Click here refer the document to download the HP Support Assistant.

go to programs device and printers and check to see if it has installed if it has tick the little box and make it your default printer this will work as i have just installed a canon over hp printers hope this helps
