I have been struggling for well over 2 hours with my Avery labels and can find no solutions! This printer is a piece of work! Either I am missing something here, am blind as a bat, or there REALLY is no such thing as a setting on the drop-down menu for "LABELS"

Here are some easy remedies for print alignment and smearing

1

Use only genuine Avery products

  • Non-Avery products are not optimized for our templates, and are not manufactured to our specifications.
  • Be sure you’re using Avery inkjet product in an inkjet printer or Avery laser product in a laser printer.
  • Contact us if you bought Avery products online, and their quality isn’t what you expect.
Some products are being sold that are not genuine Avery products and we are working to stop this.

2

Test your paper settings

  • First print your project on a plain sheet of paper to check alignment.
  • If the paper prints fine, and the labels or cards print differently, you have to adjust your printer settings.
  • When you click Print, look in the
Properties options in the print dialog box. Adjust Paper Type to Labels and Print Quality to Best. If your printer doesn't have a Labels setting, choose Heavyweight or Cardstock.
You can check with your printer manufacturer for more tips.

There is NO setting to choose Labels except Other, nor is there an option to choose Cardstock or Heavyweight. Is this printer incapable of printing labels???

Give Plain Paper, Thick a try.

Not all printers have a setting for Labels.

Unfortunately, there is no choice for paper thickness either! This printer just can not print labels. It should be marketed as such!

You should see that option under Media: selection.
