Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be happy to help you!
If you're having trouble printing barcodes or QR codes on your HP Officejet 5222 printer using Windows 11 (64-bit), follow these steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
1. Update Printer Drivers
Ensure that you have the latest drivers installed for your printer.
- Go to the HP Support and Drivers page.

- Download and install the latest drivers and software for your printer.
2. Use High-Quality Images
Ensure that the barcode or QR code you are trying to print is of high quality and resolution.
- Image Format: Use a high-resolution image format such as PNG or SVG.
- Image Size: Ensure the image size is adequate for scanning.
3. Check Print Settings
Make sure the print settings are optimized for printing barcodes or QR codes.
- Open the document containing the barcode or QR code.
- Go to the print dialog (usually found under File > Print or by pressing Ctrl + P).
- Click on Properties or Preferences next to your printer name.
- Adjust the following settings:
- Print Quality: Set it to high or best.
- Paper Type: Select the correct paper type.
- Scale: Ensure the image is not being resized or scaled down.
4. Disable Scaling and Fit to Page
Sometimes scaling or fit to page options can distort barcodes and QR codes.
- In the print dialog, look for options like Fit to Page or Scaling.
