Hi @nhspinner,
Thanks for engaging in HP support Forums! This is a wonderful location to converse with the community, get assistance and find tips!
I understand that you are having issues while printing Avery name tags on your Office jet printer.
Did you try Avery design & print software?
First off, go to http://hp.care/2py0T7f and check under “How do I print envelope address labels?” and follow the steps listed.
Now, check these Avery support documents which will help you printer better.
If the issue persists, I would suggest the next step would be to uninstall and reinstall the printer drivers using Windows built-in drivers.
You can connect the printer to the computer using the USB cable. Ideally, the Windows will install the drivers required for the printer automatically in 2-3 minutes and then try to print.
In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose `Delete' or `Remove Device'
6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between "printui.exe" and "/s")
8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
And then install the drivers using the instructions on this link: Click here
Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance!
Eagerly waiting for your response!
I hope you have a good day ahead,
And Feel free to ask your queries as this forum has some of the best people in the world available and ready to help.
