@LP1917, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're encountering the "Unable to Print. Rendering failed" error on your HP ENVY 6555e despite using HP Smart and HP Print and Scan Doctor. Let's walk through a few steps to resolve this issue.

Ensure Windows and Printer Drivers Are Fully Updated

Uninstall and Reinstall the Printer Driver

  1. Open Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  2. Right-click your HP ENVY 6555e and select Remove device.
  3. Press Windows + R, type printui /s /t2, and remove any HP ENVY 6555e drivers listed.
  4. Restart your PC.
  5. Reinstall the printer using the driver from the link above or via the HP Smart app.

Set the Printer as Default

  • Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
  • Click your printer > Set as default.

Check Print Spooler Service

  1. Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
  2. Find Print Spooler, right-click > Restart.
  3. Ensure its Startup type is set to Automatic.

Try Printing from Another App

  • Try printing a test page from Notepad or WordPad to isolate if the issue is app-specific.

If the issue persists, try printing from another device (e.g., smartphone via HP Smart app) to determine if the issue is PC-specific.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
