I too am having trouble solving the password reset. Can you PM me how for the HP OfficeJet Pro 8730?

Thank you for posting your query on HP Community,

 

I am going to send you a private message with the instructions on how to perform an advanced reset. Now these steps are specific to your printer only. 

 

Please check the mailbox icon at the top-right corner of this screen.

 

Please check your Private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Forums profile,

Next, to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Not solved, the solution is "exchange the printer with HP"

Full reset by HP technician menu dont solve the problem.

Hi @BraveToaster

 

Welcome to the HP Support Community. 

 

Try restoring the network settings to defaults - 

 

1. From the printer control panel, touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the Dashboard, and then touch ( Setup ).
2. Touch Network Setup.
3. Touch Restore Network Settings.
A message appears stating that the network defaults will be restored.
4. Touch Yes.

 

If the issue still persists, I have sent you a private message with the steps to reset the printer. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Exactly the same issue. Tried to reset with bl bl bl bl as well. The bottom left button. Need to complete hard reset it if possible. Waiting your your reply.
