MFP M227dfw

When I do a firmware update on an HP LaserJet MFP M227dfw the version listed does not change and throws an Error 200

 

When I try to enable HP Web Services to install firmware update I get this message:

 

"Internal Processing Error "Retry your last selection. If the problem continues, check for firmware updates."

 

How can I update firmware?

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
 

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Are you getting any errors message while updating firmware?
  • Did you make any changes to your printer? 
  • Are you downloading the firmware from the HP website?

While you respond to that, let's try these steps: 

  1. Disconnect the printer from the NETWORK
  2. If on wireless network: Power off the Wireless router. Turn off the printer.
  3. Wait for 30 seconds. Turn on the printer. 
  4. If the printer is in READY state, on the printer front panel, go to Setup -> Network Setup -> Network Services -> IPv6 -> Off.
  5. Turn off the printer. Wait for 30 seconds and then turn on the printer.
  6. Once the printer is in a Ready state you may go ahead and connect the printer to the network ( Power on the Wireless Router) and then try updating the firmware.
