Hello!
I've already posted the question I thought I was looking for on another thread, but I'll explain the scenario below to see if someone can think of alternatives:
I have a CP4525dn that has been previously used. However, evidently it is locked down at the control panel so I can't change any of the settings. I don't know what the web server address is, and even so, if it's restricted, I don't know what the administrator password is. The only thing I can think of to get rid of all this is a cold reset, since the "restore to factory conditions" is locked away from the control panel and, let's say, the web interface.
Searching for "cp4525 cold reset" has brought up a lot of how-tos that don't really work for me in terms of the buttons they list don't actually exist on the CP4525 models. Can anyone think of any way we can at the very least unlock the printer, or would I be SOL in this case?
Thanks for your help!

Only option is a NVRAM reset. You will lose the page counts and the serial number. If you have access to the information menu on the printer use it to print a config page for the page counts. You can put back the counts and the serial number with the service menu after the reset. See the attached.

WebJetAdmin might remove the lock, if it's just a control panel lock, connect to the printer and then you have options in there to set the control panel lock level.
It depends how it's been locked, if the Embedded Web Server has a password on for example,if it does then resets might be the only way as suggested.

So I played with the buttons on mine for a bit. And the Cold Reset combo was after turning on the printer hold the OK and X button held until the three lights remained on then release. Hope it helps someone else looking for the info.
