HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M182nw

Recently every time I turn on my printer it starts printing multiple pages with the heading:

POST / ipp/printer HTTP/1.1

Content - Lenght:  179

Content - Type: application/ipp

HOST:  localhost

then a line full of garbage.

The page will continue to print over and over until I hit cancel.  I have self-support fix, uploaded the most recent firmware.  How can I get rid of this print job?   THANKS

this appears to be a common issue and I have escalated this issue in the hopes that someone in HP software engineering can provide a solution. Based on the content of the message I have a gut feeling that this is somehow either related to the use of an IPP driver or IPP print support being active on the printer. If you are network connected, you can check what printing protocols are supported and disable IPP.

If you find the information provided useful or solves your problems, help other users find the solution easier by marking my post as an accepted solution. Clicking "yes" on "was this reply helpful" also increases the chances that this solution will help others.

Thank you Repairtrooper, I am not on a network so IPP would not be the issue.  I've had my printer 2+ years and this recently started, could it be HP update, version related?  Please let me know if and when you get a response from HP.  If I can provide any additional information I will be glad to do what I can.
