Hi I have tried to switch the printer on but no luck
I changed the fuse in the plug no change
changed the cable still no power
It worked yesterday I printed and I used the scanner but I had to change the WiFi as I had changed suppliers
now it won’t even switch on, not sure if there is a reset button anywhere or what else I can check

Hey @MammaJLloyd,
Thank you for your response 😀.
Here are a few steps you can try since your printer is not powering on:
Check Power Connection
- Confirm Power Source
- Ensure the power cable is securely plugged into the printer and the wall outlet.
- Try a different wall outlet to rule out a faulty power source.
- Avoid using a power strip or surge protector; plug directly into the wall.
- Check the Power Cable & Adapter
- Verify that the power cable is undamaged.
- If the printer has a power adapter (brick), check for any loose connections.
- Try using another compatible power cable if available.
Perform a Power Reset
- Unplug the printer from the power outlet.
- Disconnect all cables, including USB or Ethernet, if connected.
- Wait 60 seconds (press and hold the power button for 10 seconds to discharge residual power).
- Plug the printer directly into the wall outlet and try turning it on.
Check for Signs of Life
- Does the power button light up or blink?
- Any noise (fan, clicking, or beeping)?
- If the printer briefly powers on and then shuts off, there may be a hardware issue.
Check the Power Button
- Press and hold the power button for at least 10 seconds.
- Try pressing it multiple times.
- If the button feels stuck, gently clean around it with a dry cloth.
Check for Internal Printer Errors
- If the printer was updating firmware or settings when it lost power, it could be in a firmware corruption state.
- Try a firmware recovery by checking HP’s support page for firmware restoration steps.
I hope these steps help resolve the issue
