The 0x80004005 error typically indicates a driver or software communication issue after a Windows upgrade. Here's how you can resolve it for your HP Smart Tank 7300 printer:

Uninstall Existing HP Software

  • Go to Settings > Apps > Installed Apps.
  • Locate HP Smart, HP Printer Assistant, or any HP-related software.
  • Click Uninstall for each.

Remove Printer from Devices

  • Open Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click your HP Smart Tank 7300 and choose Remove device.

Restart Your PC

Download and Install Latest Drivers

  • Visit the official HP driver page: Official HP® Support
  • Select Windows 11 as your OS and download the Full Software Solution.
  • Run the installer and follow on-screen instructions.

Use HP Smart App/HP App (Optional but Recommended)

  • Download from Microsoft Store or HP - HP Smart
  • Use it to add your printer and manage settings.
