Upon replacing the cartridge and running alignment, I then get flashing lights and a blue screen with B815800E in white. Printer asks me to align the print heads to continue. I choose to do so and it goes to error screen and all lights start blinking on the printer. Unable to use the printer for anything at this point. Any advice? Thanks

Hi @Danthaman74
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The error codes B8158376 and B815800E on your printer typically indicate issues with the print head alignment or a problem with the cartridges. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:
Check Cartridge Installation:
- Ensure that the cartridges are correctly installed. Remove them and reseat them, making sure they click into place securely.
Clean the Print Head:
- If the print heads are clogged or dirty, they may cause alignment issues. Check your printer's manual for instructions on how to clean the print heads.
Reset the Printer:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
Perform a Printer Reset:
- For some printers, you can perform a factory reset. This will erase all settings, so check your printer’s manual for the specific steps.
Update Printer Firmware:
- Visit the manufacturer’s website to check for any firmware updates for your printer. Updating can resolve many issues.
Run Printer Diagnostics:
- Many printers come with built-in diagnostic tools. Check if your printer has one and run it to detect issues.
Use Original Cartridges:
- If you’re using third-party cartridges, try switching back to original manufacturer cartridges. Incompatible cartridges can cause various errors.
Check for Hardware Issues:
- Inspect the printer for any visible damage or obstructions, especially around the print head and cartridge area.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Hi thank you for your reply. Problem is with this printer is this error makes it not possible to get to a menu in the printer touch screen menus. It forces you to align the print head and when it tries to it throws the error and all lights on the unit begin blinking. So I removed the cartidges from the machine and put them back in and printer then reported yellow and cyan cartridges as being depleted. So i have 2 new catridges on the way and hopefully once those are replaced and i give a little side to side wiggle on the print head carrier while i change them and make sure all is seated all will be well. The printer i have i can not find the process of how to factory reset without using the built in printer touch menu, and the error is preventing me from getting in that menu. I have an Officejet Pro 9015 and only has one button on it a power button. I can not find the instructions on how to reset this printer manually without the touch menu anywhere on the forums. But would like to know if there is a way to should the new catridges I have on the way not remedy the problem. Thanks so much for your prompt reply!

Hi i appreciate the prompt responses. At some point 2 color cartridges were reporting as empty after following some of your instructions. I replaced the 2 cartridges and the printer works flawlessly now. Thanks for the assistance.
