Hi, I have just encountered exactly the same problem. Brought printer second hand but have been using it with no problem until today. When I tried to print I had the same message to use Setup Cartridges. Printer won't shut down either. Just freezes on the menu and power button flashes. Any help would be gratefully received.

I have done a semi-full reset twice , with succes.

 

How to do ?

 

Put the printer ON

Press button combination : back - cancel - back - back

The printer will show "Support menu" , press OK.

Scroll down until you find "Resets Menu" , press OK

Scroll down until you find "Semi-full reset" , press OK

 

You need to follow this process twice, after then the printer works again.

You have only to re-install the wireless and eprint function.

 

Succes

Hey !

I performed two semi full resets but it goes on the same way : needs setup tanks !
