I have had my HP Officejet Pro 6970 printer for a couple years, and I use it daily. Today, I restarted it because it was frozen, and to my surprise the printer started the original initialization again, asking me what language and what region I was in, and now it is displaying the message "Use SETUP cartridges". Needless to say, I don't have the original setup cartridges, since I have been using this printer for years. I tried unplugging the power cord for 60 seconds, and I tried removing the HP cartridges then putting them back in, to no avail. The message "Use SETUP cartridges" still shows.
What can I do to bypass this message? Thank you.

After I posted, I found a video on YouTube that describes how to bypass the "Use SETUP cartridges". I followed the video's instructions and it worked. I can now use my printer again. Here is the video I used: Bypass USE SETUP CARTRIDGES message on HP Officejet 6978, 6962, 6968, 9015 Printer - YouTube
Note that after I completed the video's instructions, a message appeared on the printer screen saying that only HP cartridges should be used, which is strange because I did have HP cartridges installed. I was able to solve this by removing all the cartridges and putting them back in again. The printer then displayed another message saying that genuine HP cartridges were in, but that they had already been used before. I said OK to that, and after that I was able to use my printer just fine.
