Hi, this is my new Deskjet 2336 printer which i bought a month ago. Have been using this printer but now I am getting this "USE SETUP CATRIDGE " error. The ink level is still high. Should I replace a new catridge or there is a problem with the printer. Please help. Thank you

Hi @Mag7890,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you are encountering a "Setup cartridge error" on your HP Deskjet 2336 printer, it usually means that the printer is having trouble recognizing one or both of the ink cartridges. Here are some steps you can take to try and resolve the issue.
- Remove the cartridges: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and then open the cartridge access door. Remove the cartridges carefully and set them aside.
- Clean the contacts: Use a clean, lint-free cloth or cotton swab to gently clean the contacts on the cartridges and inside the cartridge slots. Be sure to remove any debris or buildup that may be interfering with the connection.
- Reinstall the cartridges: Insert the cartridges back into their respective slots and push them firmly into place. Close the cartridge access door.
- Restart the printer: Plug the printer back in and turn it on. If the error message persists, try resetting the printer by unplugging it from the power source for 60 seconds, then plugging it back in and turning it on.
- Try new cartridges: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it's possible that the cartridges themselves are faulty or incompatible with your printer. Try replacing them with new cartridges that are designed for use with the HP Deskjet 2336.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
