I am trying to access additional print settings and when I click on it, I briefly see setting boxes but then they disappear showing blank boxes with no drop-down options. Does anyone have thoughts on why and how to fix the problem?

Hi @Nancyde1,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The issue you're experiencing with the HP DeskJet 3755 All-in-One Printer, where additional print settings disappear when accessed, could be related to a few potential causes. Here's a troubleshooting guide to help fix the problem.
Update Printer Drivers:
- Ensure that your printer drivers are up to date. Go to the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for your HP DeskJet 3755.
- You can also check if there’s an update available through the HP Smart app or Windows Update.
Reinstall Printer Drivers:
- Sometimes, a fresh installation of the printer drivers can resolve issues like missing or disappearing print settings.
- Uninstall the current printer driver from the Control Panel or Settings, then reinstall it by following the setup process via the HP website.
Check Printer Settings in the App:
- If you're using the HP Smart app, make sure it's up to date.
- Try accessing the print settings directly from the Printer Properties in Windows (Control Panel > Devices and Printers > Right-click on your printer > Printer Properties > Printing Preferences).
Reset Printer Preferences:
- Go to Printer Properties in the control panel and reset any settings or preferences that could be causing the issue.
- You can also try resetting the printer to its factory settings by holding down the Power and Cancel buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds.
Disable Third-Party Software Conflicts:
- If you're using third-party software (like antivirus or firewalls), try temporarily disabling it to see if it's blocking the settings from appearing properly.
Try a Different Application:
- If you are printing from a specific application (e.g., Word, Adobe), check if the issue persists when printing from another program. This can help determine if the problem is app-specific.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
