I have recently moved to a student accommodation and it is difficult to connect my HP Envy 4500 printer on their wifi for free. They expect me to purchase add-ons to connect my printer and I don't want to pay up as I think it's totally unfair! Can I use a type A to B USB cable to connect my macbook to wireless HP printer?
I tried googling but most people talk about how to convert a wired printer into a wireless one but nobody seems to explain if it's ok to use a wired connection for a wireless printer. Hope I am making sense here!
Kindly advise.
Thanks

Sure you can use a USB printer cable to connect to your computer.
Also turn of the WiFi on the 4500.
