This is a great location to get assistance! I read your post and see that you are getting vertical lines when you print on HP envy 4520 printer. I would like to help you resolve this issue.
- Clean the rollers and scanner glass with a lint free cloth.
- Print a Print Quality Diagnostic report.
- Clean the ink cartridges.
- Align the printer.

Hello @DSharpJr,
I went through the case and wanted to jump in with a suggestion.
Is this issue happening only while printing photos or also while printing regular documents? Let me know.
If the issue is specific to while printing photos, then try the steps below:
- Open the location where the picture you want to print is stored.
- Right-click on the picture and select “Open with” and choose “Windows Photo Viewer” to open the image (This is important)
- Change the paper size to 4*6 / 8.5 and also change the paper type to photo paper.
- Then print the picture and check.
Hope that helps. Good luck!
