When I print, the printed page will have a dark vertical streak which include text from higher in the page or even from a previous print job. I thought it may just be the black toner cartridge so I tried printing in red and you can see that the dark streak still appears. What's strange to me is that on the picture with lines of letters, there is duplicated text from my last print job.
Duplicate text from prior print job at the top
Was supposed to be a blank page but duplicate lines of letters present
Any ideas?

Hello Cxc886,
For this type of issues you can check the following:
- Printer connected directly to the wall outlet.
- Use original (unmodified, not refilled etc) toner cartridges. Also make sure they are not empty.
- You can run a couple of cleaning pages on the printer to get rid of any remaining toner that could be adhered in the rollers or even the fuser.
- If the printer is connected to the network, you can retrieve the printer's IP and then get into the Embedded Web Server from your computer: open a browser, enter the printer's IP address in the address bar and you will have access to the EWS. Once there you can check the supply status along with the Event Log to retrieve even more details for potential fix.
If problem persists, most likely the fuser on your printer is defective and requires replacement. That has to be done by a certified repair center as that is not a user-replaceable part.

Based on the history of this model you likely have a failed fuser assembly or something stuck to the fuser. Either way, on this model you need to do disassemble the printer to remove the fuser to see what is going on.
