It seems there were patches for many other machines, but I did not see one for this printer. Is there a patch available to fix this printing problem?
There is no patch for any of the Laserjet's and I have yet to find a model that needs it....
Check in the Finishing tab of the driver for a "Flip pages up" checkbox and try changing this, it should correct your issue.

I have a 7410 that has worked well now for a while, until recently. Suddenly, it has stopped Duplexing all together. I have gone through the trouble shooting that has been provided here, but still no success. I am running Windows XP and I have used the HP Director to check for updates, and it keeps saying I have all the latest software, so I am not sure why it would all of a sudden decide to no longer duplex. I can select it from the printer settings window all I want, but it still comes out non-duplexed. Is it possible that one of Windows XP "updates" messed this up somehow? I have uninstalled and reinstalled the HP software, after the original trouble shooting suggestions did not work, and even this provided no solutions.
Anyone have any ideas? Thank you in advance for your ideas and assistance.

Thanks Louis. I forgot to mention I had done this, as I think it was one of the original trouble shooting suggestions someone had posted. I believe I have done everything that anyone has suggested to date, unless I may have missed a post here or there. Frustrating problem to say the least. Again, thanks for the prompt reply back to me though, I appreciate it.

Oddly enough, I have tried the settings every possible way and still cannot get it to work, but only on my VISTA machine. I even tried downloading a new driver. I emailed HP support and they suggested removing all drivers and starting over, so that is what I am going to do tomorrow. I am open to any suggestions on how to debug this, but the last suggestion I got cost me about 50 sheets of paper because the printer did not understand the data coming to it and just kept spitting out pages with garbage on them.

I have a HP LaserJet P3015 using the HP provided driver cd (LJ P3010) for Win7.
The end user has full administrator rights and complains that when she turns the duplexing feature on, it will not save the setting. She has to enable duplexing and set how she wants it to duplex each time. I have downloaded and installed the latest driver from the internet, but the results are the same.
Any suggestions are appreciated!

To make the settings "stick" go to the Devices and Printers folder, right click on the Laserjet P3015 and select Printing Preferences. Make the required changes then save the settings. Settings changed from within an application only stay in effect until the application is exited, the changes made from the Devices and Printers folder will stick.

Hi Bob,
I was kind of waiting to see you post in this section, to see if you might have ideas regarding my problem with Duplexing with my HP 7410. I hate to be a bother, but I have tried every suggestion you have posted to others to date, as well as some of the other members suggestions, but I still cannot get it to Duplex. I posted the details about this a few posts earlier, so I won't repeat them here, unless you need me to do so. Any thoughts on what we should do next? As is typical, I seldom ever needed to use Duplexing, but now lately my children have some school work that requires it... it never fails...lol.
Thank you in advance for any additional thoughts you may have for us to try.

There are a couple of things to check: first load a two sided sheet in the ADF, press the menu button above copy, press 5, 4 then press OK. Now press the Start Copy Black button. Does the copy properly print on both sides? If so the problem is with the driver or settings. If not the duplexer is not working properly. In this case I would remove the duplexer and open it up and check for debries in the duplexer. While the duplexer is open it may help to clean the rollers with a damp lint free cloth. Also gently wipe the gold prongs that mate with gold pads on the printer and signal the presense of the duplexer. Make sure the duplexer is replaced firmly and latched properly.
If the problem is in the driver then check the settings (again). Make sure the duplexer is enabled and make sure the paper settings are for plain paper. The duplexer is not supported for photo paper or transparency media. When you try to print duplex are alternate pages upside down? This would indicate the driver is sending pages intending them to print duplex. Are there any error messages when you try to print duplex pages?
