I have an HP LaserJet Pro 200 MFP M276nw that stopped connecting wirelessly. I get the message that the WPA authentication method on your HP printer has been changed from the default setting. When I go into the printer settings and display the passphrase it is the exact same passphrase I enter when I try to configure wirelessly. I have searched various workarounds and cannot find the solution.

Hi @WB317,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be happy to help you!
It sounds like there might have been a change in the wireless settings or password on your HP LaserJet Pro 200 MFP M276nw, leading to a WPA authentication error. Here are steps to address this issue:
Printer Reset: Start by performing a network or factory reset on the printer. This often involves pressing specific buttons on the printer or accessing the printer's settings menu.
Use the below steps to Restore Defaults:
- On the product control panel, touch the Setup button.
- Scroll to and touch the Service menu.
- Scroll to and touch the Restore Defaults button, and then touch the OK button. The product automatically restarts.
Reconnect to Wi-Fi: After the reset, set up the printer again to connect it to your Wi-Fi network. Use the printer's control panel or the accompanying software on your computer to enter the correct Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password (WPA key).
Ensure Correct Credentials: Double-check that you're entering the correct Wi-Fi network name and password during the setup process. Sometimes, typos or incorrect entries can cause connectivity issues.
Update Firmware/Drivers: Check for any available firmware or driver updates for your printer on the HP website. Updated software might resolve compatibility issues causing the authentication problem.
Troubleshoot Network Settings: Review your router's settings to ensure they're compatible with the printer's requirements. Some routers have specific security settings that might conflict with the printer's connection. (Try checking with ISP, if they have any new updates)
By resetting the printer and ensuring the correct Wi-Fi credentials are entered during setup, you should be able to reconnect your HP LaserJet Pro 200 MFP M276nw to your wireless network without encountering the WPA authentication error.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
