Update - Add quick Example to Resize / Resample the image file in Irfanview

The printer is not aware of what it is printing.

The paper size and type must be selected.

The print content size is available according to the software / application you are using.

Preparation

If you have not done so, install the Full Feature Software / full driver printer software.

Use an application or software that supports the print size.

For example, Paint (mspaint) can print in custom sizes -- you do have to calculate the percentage of 100% to get the size you want.

OR

Install and use editing / print software that provides custom print size(s) you want to print.

Example - Irfanview software - Custom Print Size - FYI only

Example - Irfanview - Tiles - Rows and Columns  - FYI only

Not plug-and-play

Irfanview can print an array of Tiled images with the number of rows and columns of images you want.

If you want the print size close to the custom size you want in the Tiles,

Before you set to create the Tiles setup,

Open the Image file and Resize / Resample the image.

NOTE:  How close you get to the exact "resize" depends on the method you use and (importantly) the shape of the original image you are resizing.  Yes, you can switch off the Aspect Ratio to force the resize -- if you don't know what that is, don't do it.

Example - Irfanview - Resize / Resample - Tiny Image resized to 2.5 X 3.2 inches (Aspect Ration intact)

Irfanview_Print_Image_Resize_Resample_2.5in_1Irfanview_Print_Image_Resize_Resample_2.5in_1

NOTES

Be aware that you can build the tile set in whatever rows and columns you want.

The following examples use a non-resized image file.

If you intend to resize and then print your Resized Image in Tiles (rows and columns),

(and)

If you want to print the "resized" image tiles "at Original size",

(and)

You expect the images to fit on the paper more closely than not, you might need to adjust the number of rows and columns.

For example, instead of copying the example size of 4 columns across and 3 rows down,

Create your Tile set in 3 columns and 3 rows.

Another factor, of course, is the size of the paper.

As stated, this is not plug-and-play -- the software is very versatile and can do what you tell it to do.

The examples are intended as samples of what you can try.

If you don't understand what is going on, blame my inability to explain correctly -- the software is fairly smart.
