Just got a HP ENVY 5530 and set it up yesterday.  It is set up on it's own network and I want it set to my home network.  I can't print from my cell phone unless I go in manually and change my phones network to the printers network.  Please help!

Yeah, just what I though.  You need to turn off Wireless Direct in the printer.

Go here and download the manual.  Page 57 turns Wireless Direct Off.

Now follow the instructions on page 55 Traditional Wireless connection.

What do you mean it's 'own' network and your 'home' network?  Please explain fully all equipment you have including make, model numbers and how everything is connected.

We have 4 computers on a network with three of the computers on a wireless network set up from a linksys router.  We  use the network for our televisions and wireless devices as well and it is set up to accept plenty of ports.  Not sure if ports is the right word.  When I received the Printer I used the CD to set it up and get on wireless.  It has it's own ID when I look for available networks to log into now.  It works fine from the 2 computers that I have loaded the HP printer software on, but I cannot find it from my tablet or phone unless I go into settings and change my WiFi to the Printer ID.  Seems weird...

Well what are the network names you are seeing???  I suspect you have Wireless Direct turned on and you don't want this if you want to connect this printer to your homes router using it's SSID and password.

gjstaff is my home router - the HP-Print-CC-ENVY5530series also shows up.  How can I make the printer hook up with the gjstaff?  Do I have to get into the router? or can I do it through the printer?

Thank you for helping me.

Ok - turned off the Wireless connect and the printer is showing it is part of gjstaff network now.  That is good.  However, my iphone still doesn't recognize it.

Did you install the printer on your home network and test the printing capabilities?
