@Lynn-John

Welcome to HP Support Forums. A really great platform for posting all your questions and finding solutions.

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

Do you experience the same issue when using other browsers?

If yes, then I suggest you uninstall the printer driver from root level and download the full feature software

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’
6.) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
8.) Click on the “Drivers” tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
13.) Restart the computer and download the Full Feature Software from Here and follow the onscreen Instructions

Try printing and keep me posted how it goes

Thank you for your suggestion, KrazyToad.  The problem with the headers and footers not printing is only with the Chrome browser.  They DO print when I use Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge, so I'm thinking the problem is within Chrome.  I'll look through the Google Chrome Help Forum to see if I can find my answer there.  If I don't find help there, I'll follow through with your suggestion of uninstalling and removing my printer and then downloading the Full Feature Software.  I'm hesitant to go through that and take the risk of messing up and not being able to print at all!  I seem to run into trouble whenever I try to fix things like this!  😊

Thank you again for offering your help and I'll report back to let you know what happens from here.

Thanks for the reply.

I appreciate your time and effort.

I understand the issue better now.

Follow these steps to reset the chrome browser which will fix the issue.

Reset your browser settings:

  1. Click the Chrome menu Chrome menu on the browser toolbar.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Click Show advanced settings and find the "Reset browser settings” section.
  4. Click Reset browser settings.
  5. In the dialog that appears, click Reset.

Let me know if that helps.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Cheers.

Thank you, Sandytech20, for your suggestion.  I was so hopeful that it would work, but I'm sorry to say that it did not.  After resetting the Chrome browser settings and going into "Print" mode, I made sure that the "Headers and Footers" box was checked; the margins were set as "Minimum."  The headers and footers did show up on the print preview, but they did not print.  I tried printing two different items:  1)  the email from you to our aol.com address; and 2) our bank account information at our bank's website.  Both of these websites previously printed the headers and footers.  I noticed the headers and footers stopped printing after I changed the margins to "None" and I thought maybe that had something to do with the problem.  Since then I've tried changing the margins to "Minimum" and  various "Custom" settings with no luck.

Thanks again for offering your help!
