OfficeJet Pro 8720
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have the Pro8720 and it seems to print fine but I can't seem to figure out why exactly there are "quick forms" on this printer. I can see that it SHOULD let you print calenders and list and shuch but when you choose one and push the print button, nothing happens. The print indicator on the touch screen changes color and makes a click sound but no printout comes out of the printer. How do these work? They are much to small on the screen to read so I would expect them to print on a piece of paper but choosing any of them does nothing. Why were they included?

I actually found the answer in another thread on this forum called "Printer apps not working". My issues were resolved. Here is a copy/paste from the HP person on that thread. It works!!

Enable web services.
From your printer front panel touch Apps
Touch Quick Forms
Select the Calendar and the specific choice you want
Touch Print
Touch the image of the calendar itself so that it shows the number copies selected
Touch 1 to ensure you're just printing one copy and then hit print again.

"Did you make any changes to your printer?"

That depends on what you mean by "changes". The printer is new. Only a couple of weeks old. So, yes, it was changed from "new in box" to "installed printer". It seems to print from the computer fine.

"Are you able to make a copy from your printer?"

Yes. Color and BW.

"HP Printables and HP Printables mobile app retire on October 31, 2016. The retirement time frame is June 2016 through October 31, 2016."

This was purchased from Best Buy a couple of weeks ago. Why woud you sell an unsupported product out of the box? Why is it even there if it doesn't work?

"Review this list of frequently asked questions for answers about the HP Printables and HP Printable mobile app retirement."

What list? There is nothing here.

The link to the documentyou gave goes to a page that says, "HP Printer Apps are not affected. Printer apps might include: HP Quick Forms, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Stamps.com, Family Search, HP Scan to Email, HP JetAdvantage Private Print, and Shoeboxed. Printer app availability varies by country/region and your printer model."

So what is it, supported or trashed? I am even more confused now.

Why don't the built in apps of the printer print? Clicking on the button to print them does nothing but change color and make a sound. No printout comes out.

I just purchased an HP OfficeJet Pro 6978 from Best Buy and am having the same exact problem with the Quick Forms. I get through the touch screen menu and when I select PRINT it clicks and then nothing happens.  So far it looks like all of the other functionality works, wireless printing, scanning, etc.

It would be nice to have this feature working. Any ideas anyone????

I wonder why it was even included. It looks like it could be cool, but a waist of HP resources to include a feature that seem to be nothing more than a demo.
