I went to the store the other day to purchase inkjet print cartridges for my printer. I was not sure what the difference is between Standard and XL inks. Can someone please assist.

Dear MsStephanie1,

In your case, your printer uses HP 64 ink cartridges. The standard size is 4ml of ink and the XL is 10 ml for the Tri color and 12ml for the black cartridge.

Have a nice day!

HP Envy 7155 printer

I Installed HP64XL tri-color cartridge in replacement for standard 64 tri-color cartridge. Printer won't align page. The printing is streaky and full of horizontal, awful, messy lines. Will not even print a good black-only page, even though the black cartridge is still good.

My Question: Are Errors due to mixing standard and XL cartridges?
