Hi @Pepper-Mom,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
This issue could be due to the printer settings or software settings causing duplicate copies. To resolve this on your HP ENVY Inspire and HP ENVY Photo 7855 printers, you can try the following steps.
Check Print Settings:
- Open the document or file you want to print.
- Press Ctrl + P (or go to File > Print) to bring up the print dialog.
- In the print window, ensure that the Number of Copies is set to 1.
- Check the printer preferences by clicking on Printer Properties or Preferences.
- Make sure the "Copies" setting is set to 1.
Check Default Settings in Printer Preferences:
- Go to Control Panel on your computer.
- Click on Devices and Printers (or Printers & Scanners in Windows 10/11).
- Right-click on your HP ENVY Inspire or HP ENVY Photo 7855 printer and select Printing Preferences.
- Look for the number of copies setting under the Advanced or General tab.
- Ensure the default is set to 1 copy.
Check Printer Settings in HP Smart App (If Installed):
- Open the HP Smart App.
- Select your printer from the list.
- Go to Printer Settings.
- Look for any default settings for the number of copies and ensure it is set to 1.
Reset Printer Defaults:
- On the printer control panel, navigate to Settings.
- Look for the option to Restore Default Settings and reset the printer settings. This will clear any customized settings that may be causing multiple copies to print.
Software or Driver Issue:
- If the above steps don’t resolve the issue, try reinstalling the printer driver:
- Uninstall the current printer driver via the Control Panel.
- Go to the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for both printers.
- Reinstall the printer and check the print settings again.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
