HP Photosmart 6520

I tried changing the ink and that didnt seem to help. Also tried cleaning through the setting options. All other colors are working correctly though.

@Augilewis, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

I'm afraid this seems like an issue with the printhead of the printer. Let us try these steps to resolve this issue:

 

Update the printer firmware

Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.

 

Check the ink cartridge vents

Refer to step 3 mentioned in this document.

 

Clean the printhead

Touch Settings, touch Tools, and then touch Clean Printhead. 

If the print quality is unacceptable on the page that prints, touch Clean Again to perform a second cleaning.

 

Try making a standalone copy in black and check if the issue persists or you may print a Print Quality Diagnostic report

On the printer, touch Settings, touch Tools, and then touch Print Quality Report.
