Hey @Dirgh1,

Thank you for your response

If your HP Smart Tank 585 Printer is producing half-done pages and continuing prints on subsequent pages, it could be due to print quality or paper handling issues. Here are some steps you can take to resolve the problem:

1. Check Ink Levels

Ensure that the ink tanks are adequately filled. Low ink levels can cause incomplete prints.

  • Steps:
    • On the control panel, touch the Ink icon to check ink levels.
    • Refill any tanks that are low on ink.

2. Check Paper Settings and Quality

Ensure that the paper loaded in the printer matches the paper settings and is free from defects.

  • Steps:
    • Load the paper print side down in the input tray.
    • Use only clean, wrinkle-free paper appropriate for your print job.

3. Verify Print Job Settings

Check that the print job settings match your desired output.

Steps (Windows):

  • Open the document, click File, then Print.
  • Adjust settings under Properties such as Paper Type, Print Quality, and Paper Size.

Steps (Mac):

  • Open the document, click File, then Print.
  • Adjust settings under Paper Type/Quality or Media & Quality.

4. Update Printer Firmware

Outdated firmware can impact printer performance.

  • Use the HP Smart app or printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS) to check for firmware updates.

5. Clean Printheads

Use the HP Smart app to clean the printheads, which can improve print quality.

  • Steps:
    • Open HP Smart app, click on your printer, go to Tools, then Clean Printheads

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
