Officejet 6310 All in One
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Attempted to print a 16-page document.  Everything looks fine until the last few pages.  Start to hear cranking noises from the printer and the last few pages start appearing crooked/distorted.  Also some of the text appears in boldface when it should not be.  I realize this is a super old printer.  Time for a new one?

@Fishwharf

Welcome to the HP Forums 🙂 I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers.

Does this happen while copying too?

Run the Clean Print Cartridge utility

  1. Make sure that there is plain white paper in the input tray.

  2. On the product control panel, press Setup.

  3. Press the left arrow () or the right arrow () to select Tools, and then press OK.

  4. Press the left arrow () or the right arrow () to select Clean Print Cartridge, and then press OK. The product prints a test page.

Let me know how the test page looks.

Let me know if this helps.

If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the Accepted Solution button, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

Thanks!

Have a great day!
