I just want to know how to use card stock in the printer.  I don't see a setting for "Paper."

A warm welcome to HP forums! This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries.

If the printer support card stock paper, you have to select "Card" as the Media type in the print dialogue box to print on a card stock paper.

What's the printer model?

Which application would you be using to print?

Let me know!

My printer is HP Office Jet 4650.  I do not see the selection "CARD," just specialty paper settings. I'm afraid I don't know what you mean by the application I will be using to print. I tried removing all the regular paper and use just one sheet of card stock and it printed all right.  But I am afraid that one time the paper will be stuck in there. I do not use card stock a lot. I think I will just remember to use one sheet in the printer when I use it again.  Apparently my printer does not support card stock????

Thanks! As per the paper handling specifications available here, HP Officejet 4650 printer support's Card Stock paper. The table below contacts the supported index cards or card stock papers:

If you are using a supported card stock from the above table. Then use the steps below to adjust the print settings:

1.) Open a document, click File, and then click Print to open the print dialog.

2.) If a Show Details button displays at the bottom of the dialog, click it to reveal all available menu options. The button changes to Hide Details when clicked.

3.) Select your printer in the Printer menu.

4.) Click the unnamed print options menu at the separator bar to display more settings options. Select Media & Quality.

Unnamed print options pop-up menu

5.) Click Paper Type and select Brochure Matte Paper.

6.) Click the unnamed print options menu at the separator bar, select Paper Handling.

7.) Check the box "Scale to fit paper size" then click Destination paper size and select Index Card or Card Stock. If in case Index Card or Card Stock is not available select Postcard.

8.) Click Print.

Let me know how it goes!
