Since you are trying to connect via Wireless Direct and not via a router, you must print off the Network Config sheet to find your password.

I have printed off a wireless network test result which has a current configuration at the bottom. Do I have to change my Network name (SSID) etc to get  the printer icon onto my computer?

Alright, how are you trying to connect???? Wireless Direct SSID or to your router's SSID???

Routers SSID.

OK, you need to disable Wireless Direct in the printer. Then follow your User Guide and connect your printer using a router (Infrastructure method). Read it carefully.

I am having the same problem.  You cannot add the printer without the WPS pin.

The printer is on the wireless network. The laptop can see it. It still needs the WPS pin. This video shows how to connect to the network. That's not the problem.
