HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M283fdw

Why are there so many problems with HP Laserjet printers shutting off and not turning on.  I see many many people having this issue, and the fix is unplug for 60 seconds and re-plug.  Why is this occurring in the first place?  How can I stop it from permanently occurring?  I have a MFP M283fdw.

Thanks,

There are many factors that can cause this behavior. Most common is either bad power or an overloaded circuit. Even smaller home printers like the 283 can draw 10 amps of power during start up sequences. Any other heavy draw item on the same circuit like a heater or AC unit can cause power starvation. Failure to keep firmware up-to-date is another challenge, and some people avoid doing this because of the fear of their 3rd party cartridges no longer working.
