Operating System: macOS 10.15 Catalina

So I have this issue while trying to print off my 2016 MacBook Pro. I bought a usb adapter for the printer one end you plug a usb end in and the other you put into the computer wich is a usb c end. Could this be the issue for this? i bought these adapters off amazon not cheap either. To sum it up my issue is that you cant print off pics or word docs it just brings up the little printer icon and say finished printing but nothing comes out or starts on the printer. HElp is much appreciated and needed.

So i Fixed This problem by Going into these steps 

1.System preference 

2.Printers And Scanners

3.CLick The + Button In The Bottom Left Corner

4. Then Select Your Software Type For Printer In Menu

5.Add Printer To List 

6.Do A TEst Print
